The wheat graph is interesting because when this thing started last year, I was pretty sure we were going to see arab spring 2 due to the fact that (IIRC) places like egypt, algeria, turkey, morocco, pakistan and others rely heavily on Ukranian grain exports and a russian invasion sorta puts a damper on things like, oh, shipping. (or things like doing ANYTHING AT ALL BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO BUSY FIGHTING FOR YOUR LIVES).
Historically, a lack of food is a pretty good way to get riots going in a country, but I guess the Black Sea Initiative did a pretty damned good job of getting the United Nations, Turkey, and Russia to cooperate and allow ukranian exports through the russian blockades in the black sea area.
I'm glad that didn't turn out like I was afraid it would.

I heard on the radio that he was on the phone when the plane hit, but I believe that came from the Russian News Service so I guess that isn't worth the electricity used to send the message. In the past, though, typically when the Russians get their guy they don't lie about the person being dead to the public. They just lie about what and who caused it.
On the other hand, faking his death is probably the only chance Prigohzin had at having any long term health.
