Russian war correspondents are reporting Dmitry Medvedev, former PM, President, and Putin's good buddy, and Medvedev's family have left Moscow.
ROFL, the President of Kazakhstan, Tokayev, just called the Wagner coup attempt "an internal affair of Russia". So that's 0/2 on getting help from Russian NATO.
Traffic on the Moscow River has been "temporarily suspended".
Trenches are being dug in the Moscow region, and barricades and other defensive structures are appearing in Moscow itself.
Air strike just hit the HQ of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don. That's likely a Russian attempt to kill Prigozhin. There's been photos of him with facial bruises and cuts, likely from attempts on his life.
Prisoner riots/rebellions have started in Moscow prisons/pre-trial detention centers.
The Russian Presidential air fleet (so Putin) has left Moscow. It is suspected the destination is Valday, where there's a war command complex.

A few analysts are saying the war in Ukraine is all but over now. In my opinion it’s not a certain thing but it’s also looking very good for Ukraine. The Russians at the frontlines are being left high and dry right now. Their organization and defense are going to fall apart over the next couple of days. Their military is extremely top heavy and their whole focus is on the 25 to 50k mercs pushing their way towards Moscow. Ukraine, absolutely, has got to take advantage of this. Force terms of surrender / withdrawal or overrun their positions.
There are other worlds than these.
Huh, weird. If Putin was in on it, he wouldn't have fled Moscow. Not sure what Pringles got out of it, but I don't think this is over yet. At the very least it shows how incredibly weak Putin in now to everyone.
I’m surprised at how anti climatic this ended. But regardless it’s not a good look for Russia or Putin. He looked very weak. It took him hours to make a statement and his, eventual, statement was pretty weak. Putin and all his Oligarch buddies fleeing Moscow and disappearing and letting one of his henchmen broker the deal with Wagner? Not the sign of a strong leader.
I’ve read that Ukraine managed to make some progress as a result of Russia’s near implosion. And Russia has never been this weak so hopefully they can really capitalize on this.
There are other worlds than these.
There's no way this is over. Prigozhen is a walking dead man right now unless he can get to Putin first. Putin just needed time to stop the march, but he will not let this go. I can't believe Prigozhen is buying this. Somebody is being stupid and someone else is waiting for the other to let his guard down or become distracted. Or they both are doing that.
My heart goes out to all the lunatics suffering from whiplash after they went from claiming this was some kind of US backed coup to saying this was all part of Putin's plan all along.
Wait a second, that's not my heart. It's... *checks* a fart. Honestly it's more than they deserve.
I wonder if Prigozhin gets to take over from Lukashenko as Putin's local puppet, because I can't picture the guy wise enough to plan something like this being stupid enough to think a life of peaceful exile will be a long one.
It was also very general. It mentions Wagner once, and in such a way that it's not clear Putin is pointing a finger at them being the cause of the problems. There's been some idle speculation that the statement was a generic one pre-produced in the event of a coup during the war, and that Putin was too busy running to the command bunker to put out a real statement.Originally Posted by Silke
For me, the real moment of weakness wasn't even when the Russians were blowing up their own supplies to prevent Prigozhin from using them. It was when Prigozhin revealed on video that the Russians have been lying about their casualty numbers, by factors of three to four vs. reported and ten times what is said on TV. That's going to undermine the entire war effort, and it's laid at Putin's feet. The guy who calls the dictator a liar in public doesn't fear the dictator, and without fear, the dictator is nothing.
Crazy Russian's dad's vacation was in Georgia, as it turns out. He's extending it because he gets the sense that now is not the time to go back home.
I never knew a pizza place had a military value, not that this is anything new in the book of Russian war tactics.

Moscow says 700,000 children from Ukraine conflict zones now in Russia
(Reuters) - Russia has brought some 700,000 children from the conflict zones in Ukraine into Russian territory, Grigory Karasin, head of the international committee in the Federation Council, Russia's upper house of parliament, said late on Sunday.
"In recent years, 700,000 children have found refuge with us, fleeing the bombing and shelling from the conflict areas in Ukraine," Karasin wrote on his Telegram messaging channel.
Russia launched a full-scale invasion on its western neighbour Ukraine in February 2022. Moscow says its progranme of bring children from Ukraine into Russian territory is to protect orphans and children abandoned in the conflict zone.
However, Ukraine says many children have been illegally deported and the United States says thousands of children have been forcibly removed from their homes.
Most of the movement of people and children occurred in the first few months of the war and before Ukraine started its major counter offensive to regain occupied territories in the east and south in late August.
In July 2022, the United States estimated that Russia "forcibly deported" 260,000 children, while Ukraine's Ministry of Integration of Occupied Territories, says 19,492 Ukrainian children are currently considered illegally deported.
He's going the Trump route putting refugee kids into protective C̶a̶g̶e̶s̶ ~summer camps~ ...
The cages were about dehumanizing them before sending them back home. Russia very much wants to absorb these kids and make them forget they were ever anything other than Russian.
Medvedev, in comments reported today, made an observation that was intended to signal a hard line position, but which actually makes the foolishness of the war apparent. He talked about how, to counter the threat of Ukraine joining NATO, Russia would turn the war into a never-ending conflict. The theory is if the war ends, Ukraine can join NATO, but so long as they're part of an open conflict NATO membership is off the table. I don't think Russians will react favourably to the idea of a war that continues indefinitely, draining the economy endlessly and being a death threat to every boy born in the country.
Maybe the Russian people won't react favourably to an endless war, but if we look at how the populace have reacted each time Putin initiated a war (Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine 2014, Syria, Ukraine 2022) which he has done with regular intervals, then the support for him have increased.
Also in the current Russian regime, it doesn't really matter much what the people think, because the suppression is so strong that most just bow their heads and think about other things instead of trying to actively go up against the regime. If the current Russian regime gets overthrown, it won't be by ordinary people taking to the streets.
So Medvedevs comment should be taken very seriously. Russia can most likely keep fighting this war much longer than most democracies can keep the focus and will to support it, which is why it's even more important to not hold anything back to support Ukraine now, so it can be brought to conclusion within the next couple of years. In this respect I think the West can do much better than we have so far, and we still grapple with the issue of wanting things to go back to "normal", whatever that is.
Maybe the utter ghastly catastrophe that is "The Greatest Counter Offensive in History!" has gotten through to some of you, that maybe, just maybe, things are not as you have been led to believe, hm?
Probably not though, oh well!
We're talking World War One levels of slaughter and fucking lunatic incompetent leadership
After the much vaunted "Western armour" got fragged to fuck,
they began sending men in platoon and company, bare naked infantry (as in: shorn of armoured, air and serious artillery support), to attack Russian defensive lines
so they get annihilated, especially when they get hammered by TOS-1 systems, ugh
as usual when things got hot, the Russians pull back, and let the poor bastards come at them over yet more open ground...and any protective tree lines etc areas are all preregistered for artillery
oh, and they added a new trick
when the Ukrainians take over some trenches etc, the Russians let of the charges they'd left behind, blowing the entire trench line to hell
nearly 2 months later they finally reached the FIRST Russian defensive line in ONE area
40,000 dead...for that
the drone and sabotage attacks on civilian areas are spreading...do you think Russia will NOT get revenge on America and Britain for being behind that, hm?
What would we do in their shoes? we'd have went nuclear (literally) already
Now the insanity has spread to Africa and that evil horror, Nuland went over there trying to cause chaos just like she set off the Ukrainian madness...except they told her to go to hell
THIS IS WORLD WAR THREE, FOLKS
no one's going to admit it except in the history books, if there are any history books being printed one day
HUBRIS
And Putin could have sat back enjoying endless oil money instead of starting a pointless war. Maybe the world will get lucky and someone throws his ass out a window.

Can someone translate Crazy Bullshit to English? Can't understand a word the antisemite said.
"With your shield, or on it"
It seems like he attempted to describe some of the atrocities resulting from Putin's illegal invasion of a sovereign nation, but somehow without blaming Putin? -With horrible inaccuracies of course.
Or the ramblings of a Russian chat bot drifting pretty significantly.
Hard to tell.
