Still possible for the Huckeyes -- the Texas loss feels akin to the first Oregon game last year.
Not any huge surprises in week 0 or week 1. I'd surmise a few things:
The Big Ten seems to have surpassed the SEC. *FLEX*
Notre Dame ranked #4 (and picked by a couple ESPN Gameday pundits to win it all) struggled significantly against unranked Wisconsin early.
Michigan escaped an upset with a gifted one second Hail Mary.
Iowa (Dramadon?) scored more points this week than total combined of their last 19 seasons or so?
My Buckeyes, who I am predicting to go wire-to-wire number one this year, looked phenomenal against weak competition. Jeremiah Smith had two touchdowns early. Julian Sayin had a rushing touchdown and over 80% completion percentage. Bo Jackson had a homerun rushing touchdown. Jacoby Jackson had another. But I'm telling you right now, watch out for LEGEND BEY. A true freshmen who is FREAKISHLY gifted in open space. I suspect this kid has a bright future. Our defense did not display anything dominant, but did hold the opponent to zero. I'm smelling another championship!
