Sometimes policy. Sometimes public persona. Sometimes both.
My question would be: How can you support someone who is a multiple convicted felon and rapist? How can you support someone who is an obvious fraudster conman?
I've spoken to some about this directly, and the answer is simple. They don't believe any of these objective facts. Fake News. Jury was rigged. Courts on witch hunts.
They don't live in the same reality we do. Cognitive dissonance.
