Maps & Themes in Cities Skylines 2... You Can BUY 441 TILES!!!
The latest dev diary was about climate, seasons, and weather effects.
The game's not just a buggy mess. It also has massive holes in the gameplay where people are expecting DLC to fill in (Industry mechanics are crap since it seems stuff was held back for the 'industries' DLC. Tourism and entertainment is missing a lot that probably was removed for a future Tourism/entertainment DLC. ).
I have some things I need to say about Cities Skylines 2
Cities Skylines 2 IMMEDIATELY BACKFLIPS - Weekly Updates Reinstated & Refreshed
Cities Skylines 2 has done a quick 180, immediately backflipping on their plans to "pause" the weekly Word of the Week updates by releasing a weekly update after a "phone call from Sweden". Lots of lols to discuss today, and of course we'll dive into the newly revamped QnA style weekly updates - this week focused on Goods, Resources, Import & Export. Thanks for watching!

Who has time to fix things when there is DLC to sell...
It's unfortunate that Cities Skylines 2 isn't doing very well. From what I can tell, they weren't able to create a game that was better than the original Cities Skylines + workshop. It's like they could have just repackaged Cities Skylines 1 into a single game with all the DLC bundled together. Well, they did that but it cost like $200 to get all of it.
Really, the only improvement from Cities Skylines 1 might have been graphics but they weren't even really able to do that.
They also abandoned the steam workshop to force people to use their own modding site.
And the CO modding site isn't even open yet...![]()
So We Had a Chat with Colossal Order & Paradox About Cities Skylines 2
Let's talk about the meeting that myself, Biffa Plays, City Planner Plays & Overcharged Egg had with Colossal Order & Paradox about Cities Skylines 2. I think you'll find this one very interesting! In attendance were:
Luca Kling (Business Manager at PDX)
Sebastian (Producer at PDX)
Mariina Hallikainen (CEO at Colossal Order)
Hans Zenjuga (Creative Director at Colossal Order)
Many thanks to CO & PDX for organizing this very informative and productive meeting :-)
CS:2 is still such a disaster they've gone back to pumping out CS:1 content to make money...
Paradox Goes Back – Is Cities Skylines 2 On LIFE SUPPORT?
So fucking broken they are bringing in alternate devs...
Colossal Order will no longer work on Cities Skylines 2.
I still haven't felt the need to get this game yet. I can't seem to watch that video. What's the video say?
The developers of Cities Skylines 2 will no longer be supporting the game going forward. An internal team owned by the publisher will instead be providing support and any future updates.
Some of the other titles worked on by the new team are listed, and none of them are particularly encouraging. I doubt any attempts to fix the game will be made. This strikes me as a move to maintain relevance and sales with minimal investment.
The simulation is still fucked, but some people seem excited for the new amusement parks...
