My guess is Stuart Scott. Something about his speech last night at the Espys makes me think he isn't doing well.

That's the first thing I thought. Not only did that sound a lot like a good bye, it sounded a lot like he doesn't have much time left. I wasn't even aware he had cancer but that explains why the last few times I saw him on TV he didn't look very well. It's sad to see anyone go so early due to cancer.
RIP, Johnny Winter, the greatest albino blues guitarist ever:

Crap, really liked James Garner
My mechanic uncle was *so* like him in looks, laid back humour and charm.
Never missed the Rockford Files, and then watched it more in syndication. James Garner was awesome! R.I.P.

RIP Thomas Berger, who wasn't as widely read as some of his contemporaries, but worthy to stand among any of them. I've had a soft spot for Little Big Man since reading it for school way back when. Like Lonesome Dove, Little Big Man is a great Western for people who don't normally read the genre; I suspect many people on this board would enjoy it.

I've always been a big fan of Lauren Bacall, she was a fantastic actress.

When Charon came calling, I wonder if he put his lips together and blew.
