Decent trailer. Looks alright. My only thing is these movies have a history of decent trailers and sort of only okay movies. I'll still watch it.

The new X-Men movies have been consistent enough that I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. No shots of them on the moon, though!

The best new X-Men movie was Deadpool (and 2).

Kind of boring looking trailer considering the storyline they are supposedly in. After Apocalypse I'm ambivalent as to whether the people running the show right now can do this right.

With the amount of reshoots involved, I don't see how this could end up well.

Plus the trailer does confirm some of the worse script leaks...

Is this not the first one of the new Disney partnership? I understood that it would help bridge the gap between MCUs and make the merge between fox and disney able to happe in full force beginning immediately after the resolution with thanos and the introduction of galactus.

Sansa Stark plays Dark Phoenix? I'm on board.

I read that Marvel isn't involved, it's the last Fox X-Men film and the whole timeline is likely to be discarded once Marvel takes over. It's a lame duck movie, if you care about continuity. Source:

As per previous link, the reshoots are significantly scaled back from what was originally announced. Three to four weeks is not good, but it's not disastrous. Avengers 4 is reshooting all through Fall, and nobody's suggesting that the film will be terrible as a result. Agreed that the trailer does support the story given by the primary leaker, though.

For people who want to know what information was leaked on the plot (the entire plot of the movie is there, major spoiler warning):

I believe it. Few creators want to be saddled with someone else's work. You can either be obligated to shoe-in someone else's story into your own or you can have the freedom to explore this completely new original point of view however you want.

She is in the previous two as well though only gets major screen time in one, I think? Can't remember.

Just the last one. The one before that was Days of Future Past, not in that.

Meh. It's Jean Grey, you can't do much with it. I recently re-watched it on TV, and if I was listing notable characters (either end of spectrum) I wouldn't list her.

I could have sworn the young versions of certain characters were teased in Days of Future Past before becoming main characters in Apocalypse. Her, Cyclops, etc. I might be getting some wires crossed on this one.

Notable as in having an interesting performance, not in importance in the plot, yes?

Interesting performance. She's just... there. She's prominent in the plot, but not so important that the film could not be done without her.
