    Re: The Idiocy of Antifa

There's a picture in the CNN article of a row of right wingers with shields, and one has what looks like a Detroit Red Wings logo on it. Turns out it's a Detroit Right Wings logo, there's an important difference, and the Wings and the NHL are very upset:

So far nobody from leadership to msm has used the word terrorism for the Dodge driver. Guessing he's not brown then.

Even though the act likely can be charged as terrorist acts under federal laws.

The Detroit Right Wings group - what southern heritage are they defending?

Their website had a gofundme going to "send some Michigan boys on a vacation to Virginia" - smug, smartasses.

Don't recall Michigan being part of the Confederacy. What do they care about a Robert E. Lee statue? Haul your asses out to Little Big Horn and organize a drive to honor Custer, a man from Ohio (I think?) that moved to be with his wife from Monroe, Michigan (about 20 miles north of the state lines). Celebrate his actions with the Michigan and Ohio Volunteer Cavalrys in the Civil War.

This isn't racism, huh? But about threats to shared heritage, history and cultures of Southern genteelman?

Son of a bitch - The local paper The Blade is currently the only place showing unblurred images of the Dodge Challenger's license plate. It is undeniably Ohio, and The Blade is stating that the stickers on the plates indicate it's registered in Lucas County, which is dominated by Toledo.

Seems like both sides are quick to pinpoint the blame on that driver who ran people over. I've seen info claiming emphatically both ways. That's kind of gross. Should I confess that I'm curious which one will be more accurate?

His name is out. He's alt-right. There was early allegations in alt-right sources that it was a counter-protestor, but it was quickly discovered that the guy in question had sold his Challenger (when he started tweeting that he'd sold it) and the guy who tweeted the allegation deleted it.

At least one person has, and it's not the first person you'd guess.

I'd do a search to see if the alt-right has started to pivot to "false flag operation", the go-to when one of their own shits the bed, but I don't want to be too disappointed in humanity today.

I don't know who said it first, but he's a prominent politician that has called it what it is.

A long article from the BBC on Charlottesville, with a great deal of detail:

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40914748

The mayor had to go into hiding. Unbelievable.

EDIT: add Marco Rubio to the list of people piling on Trump for not singling out the white supremacists:

EDIT #2: and if you want to contrast Trump's comment with others, here's some other politicians and what they tweeted:

as said, we didn't do a good enough job of hunting down ever Nazi fuck *especially in our own countries* and hanging the fuckers, the LAST time.

scum don't respect compassion or restraint, they see it as weakness.
So, that poisonous crap is boiling up its pus again.
    meh.

Only good Nazi is a DEAD fucking Nazi. And I'm not happy with that idea, alas, waking the buggers up is almost impossible, worth a try until their threat becomes to serious.
Sorry, they are dangerous scum. got bugger all to do with "disliking their outlook", they are indeed a menace to everyone.
ironic that their excuses for abusing and killing are factual because THEY are the damn threat to society, not Mr Black, Mz Pink or Professor Rosenstein in the library with the Selfish Gene!

Well, to be fair, Michigan and Ohio almost went to war once (over possession of Toledo) so I don't think they are going to give a rats ass about somebody from Ohio. The wife complicates things though.

But yeah, that still has nothing to do with "southern heritage" and fighting the confederacy.

Mayor in Kentucky is going to have statues pulled down now
    http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/13/us/ken...nts/index.html

Seems this march by the alt-right, Neo-Nazis, KKK and the rest of the White Supremacist fan club did the exact opposite of their plan with another city planning to pull down monuments to the losers.

So where do you get these notions that just because the guy isn't "brown," leadership and the msm are not calling it terrorism? And how are you capable of retaining that opinion in the face of having access to the Internet and it's search engines? Have you no shame for spreading ignorant falsehood when you clearly have the opportunity and ability to know better? If it's too difficult to check your own "facts" and opinions, then it's too much trouble for you to express them in the first place. I know that you CAN do better, so why you choose to broadcast lying drivel is a matter for you to figure out.

You've got two MSM articles that postdate Filan's post, an interview taking the AG to task for the president's failure to call out the terrorism, and a collection of tweets who's broad theme is that they are attempting to spur people into calling the attack terrorism.

On that evidence I'm going to give Filan's post a GraffeFact rating of "mostly true."
