    Is the white highlight on your blue dragon due to gloss/lighting, or did you paint it in?

    The blue dragon is painted with all metallic paints so that is reflection from the flash.

    Woo, nice!

    For mini photography you really have to use daylight outside or very bright room, unless you have skills/specialist camera gear,
    Found this out myself
    I took photos either in front room on sunny day or in backyard with some shade, camera on mini tripod
    Don't need an SLR etc if take time and manual control of exposure etc, a cable release does help though if your camera can take one
    Well worth experimenting on to learn as makes minis look so much better than flash photos
