Thread: 28g Nano Reef Saltwater Build

Re: 28g Nano Reef Saltwater Build

Bought 5 frags of coral this weekend. Had a meet for my FW club, and bought a clownfish there. Ocellaris. Very cute. Boys want to name him Nemo. I'm not necessarily against the name, but I feel as though the name is a little bought-in and un personable.

Added more coral and purchased a "Marlin" companion for "Nemo."

Re: 28g Nano Reef Saltwater Build

I had an aiptasia anemone appear on one of my coral pieces about a month ago, and tried a couple of holistic approaches (peppermint shrimp), but to no avail.

I chose to "nuke it" with calcified lime, instead (what all the more professional hobbyists suggest).

During that, I decided to rescape the bit of the aquarium that has been bugging me.

Aquariums are always a world of, what looks cool isnt as always easy to clean up after. An amazing scape can often be a fragile pain in the ass to work around, and though I should have learned by now, this reef was not any different for me in the spirit of designing it, and not until after the first break of algae, realizing how I should have kept much of it away from the glass.

This is the new scape. Cloudy for now, despite a waterchange, etc

New tankmate. She is still adjusting. Might take her a couple weeks before she is comfortable enough to be actively seen.

    Mandarin Goby/Green Dragonet/Psychadelic Dragonfish

They have a couple names, but all the same fish.

She makes my "want" list complete, but I saved her for last, because she is the most difficult to keep alive.

I need to figure out what setting I messed up that is blocking my seeing gifs at graffe. I missed a lot of your fun evidently. It's such a joy to have fish that have personality eh Tinth?

Thanks! I'm actually in the process of upgrading this one to a 50 gallon in February. I will be keeping most of the livestock, but selling the tank and some of the live rock.

I'll only be asking about $300 for everything if you are interested.

If you are, I'd be willing to drive it over to you and set it up.

I bought a boyfriend for Tibbs yesterday.

As well as a black and blue velvet nudibranch to eat excess planaria in the tank.
