Should Delores Mulva be a moderator? Election will be held beginning October 14th.
Well I nominated him, so obviously I do think there is some reason Delores would be a good mod. He cares for the site, wants to see it continue to not just survive but grow and be a place all can feel comfortable discussing multiple topics. While we disagree on how best to achieve this, it's not an insurmountable gulf and common has been and will continue to be found.

Dolores generally seems calm and rational, great traits for a moderator. And he's not terribly enthused about taking the job, which is probably a good sign for this particular job.

Then I'm surprised you don't want me to win. I believe that the mods have a duty to be role models for the community, and to adhere to the letter and the spirit of the rules at all times. Take that, add in my reporting history (one reported post in my entire time at Graffe's), and mix in the inability of a mod to do anything about conflicts in a thread where they're posting, and I'd be a punching bag (or an, erm, punting dog?) for an entire year.Originally Posted by Alikat
