How a Master Potter Makes Giant Kimchi Pots Using the Traditional Method — Handmade

Jin-Gyu learned the ancient art of onggi pot-making from his parents. Today, he is the youngest of about 20 people left in Korea who are certified to properly recreate traditional Korean onggi, a process which requires intense physical labor and adherence to traditional guidelines. The pots are used to hold kimchi, soy bean paste, red pepper paste, and other foods that require air to ferment, which the clay — made from Korean rain water, plants, and mountain soil — provides.

Sure Ricardo Montalban played the unforgettable Khaaaaan!!! But he also had a great series in the late 70's called Fantasy Island, granting fantasies to each weeks special guest star, (more or less). On two occasions, he confronted The Devil himself, played equally awesomely by Roddy McDowall. Here, we see Roarke renegotiating for a husband and wife's soul, putting his own soul on the line to resolve things. Why can't we have actors like this on tv or movies anymore???

The Inverter Linear comoressors/DC Transformer compressors and DC Transformer pumps have been around since before Samsung and LG started to really go hard on using them through HVAC and home Appliance refrigeration for about the last 12 years.
A major boon, as well as caveat, of the Magtorpressors is that they are designed to operate on a Alternating current providers by the switching of polarities in the current state which we have all accepted as common electrical supply.
Lg/Samsung have chosen to use DC transformers and run the compressors at a constant 12 volts in order to discourage locked compressors, which is the greatest common problem of AC driven compressor failure.
The Magtor Pressors, despite having fewer points of friction against a traditional pump driven version still have a possibility for freeze.
With the applied technology of the constant 12v to 24 to 48 to 96 volt DC Transformer found in the linear inverter compressors found in GE, LG and Samsung products, the Magtorpressors could run at a constant maintenance charge as low as 4 volts, constant, and applied through a product like the Tesla DC system.
This avoids potential degradation of mechanics as well as service lines, and creates a constant air flow as well as cooling, even when desired temperature has been reached, allowing a slow increase through DC voltage supplies when greater demand on the system is required, but for fewer resource demands in order to do so.
Unfortunately, even though Magtor has the component integration available within its many patents, the big 3 of refrigeration systems has no interest in changing, nor adopting their current layouts of engineering in order to lose out on their already being used patents.
Magtor needs to pickup production and capital and create market dependency, or else the technology will fizzle out and vanish, or be acquireed by the highest bidder.

Why Sandalwood Is So Expensive | So Expensive

Sandalwood is one of the most expensive woods in the world: One kilogram of Indian sandalwood can cost $200. Its unique, long-lasting aroma makes it extremely sought after. And when that aroma is distilled into oil, a single kilogram can cost $8,000. Today, sandalwood oil is a coveted ingredient for perfumes, soaps, and incense. So what's so special about sandalwood's aroma? And is that why the wood is so expensive?
Why Agarwood Is So Expensive | So Expensive

--Quote:
For thousands of years, agarwood has been known as "The Wood of the Gods." First-grade agarwood can cost as much as $100,000 per kilogram, making it one of the most expensive raw materials in the world. Aquilaria malaccensis is a tree native to the rainforests of southeast Asia. The healthy heartwood inside Aquilaria trees is pale, odorless, and worthless. In order for this tree to produce any agarwood, it must first become infected with mold. So how does this infection process work? What is agarwood used for? And what makes it so valuable?
Why Frankincense And Myrrh Are So Expensive | So Expensive
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LMioQGsFFw

Frankincense and myrrh are perhaps best known for their biblical connotations. But this tree sap has been prized across the world for over 6,000 years. These fragrant incense pieces come from the Burseraceae family of trees and are found across the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. But despite recent attempts to protect these trees, they could soon be headed for extinction. So what makes frankincense and myrrh so expensive?
