It is level capped, but you can buy a talent (Stealthy) to raise the cap a little with each purchase, as you can with the Defense skill.

Sadly, it's true, at least in my experience. I twinked the hell out of my Priest, as much as I could, and I die a lot, as much really as I would with regular gear for my level. :/ It's more of knowing how to play than getting by on gear (and I'm still learning my Priest, haha). ;)Quote:

Strangely, this thing that you like so much is IMO one of the absolute worst "features" of just about every MMORPG. I find it pretty rediculous the way you start off in the world so weak that you are threatened with death by fighting a rat. Not to mention the fact that in a lot of games (EQ, DAoC) the early levels give you no real abilities so they tend to be incredibly dullQuote:

Again, I REALLY appreciate the work you have put into this thread. Blizzard should be paying you for this.
mmm i've always hated the "beginner killing rats" syndrom , ok you mustnt be too powerful at the start but sometimes its just ridiculous !! thx god , the wow game seems interesting from the start...
so it seems that a new push is coming pretty soon whohooo!!!Quote:
Sorry all, I should have realized what day it was today and held off posting this until tomorrow. It's not an April Fools joke although I wish I could say it is.
Bad news - big download.
Good news - last one and a great new push!
The new push will be soon, but no definite on the date .. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

Now some speculations : we already know that the lvl cap will be now 35 , but a huge ebta file does that mean the return of the horde :p ???and maybe the druids :p
It had better be. I am going into tree-huggin withdrawal. One of the quests I did last night involved be given a "loaner" one charge magical item that turned me into a large Feline predator. I tell you the whole experience of shapeshifting may just sell me on this game more than anything else. I hope the experience is similar for the druid forms.Quote:
and maybe the druids
Your handle seems familiar. Did you use to play a druid named Krristin? (Or something of that spelling variation.)
yep. Hi Leopa.
They've said both unlocking the Horde and releasing druids are planned parts of the next patch.
It's not a huge download because of that, it's because they did some data restructuring. Future patches (like level 40 + hunters) will be just regular push patches like EQ players are used to.
will Pirate hats be something nonNPCs get? Please say yes because that would simply be the best thing I have heard about this game.Quote:

And again, there's that "pirate supplies" vendor in Booty Bay that is planned to sell ... something. Poofy shirts, red sashes, cutlasses, black shiny boots, eye patches and pirate hats would be beyond cool. Hell, stick some rum on there and maybe some guns, too.
How about a parrot?
Question: For those of us who have not played WoW yet, where is Booty Bay?
And for the record, pirates need to be in every video game known to man.
Southernmost tip of Azeroth, in Stranglethorn Vale lands.
I love this forum, ask a question and it tends to have an answer within a few minutes or so.
:)
It's not easy to get to as a low level character. Somewhere on this forum i described my journey there (apparently the hard way) at lvl 20 which took 5 deaths and about an hour since i didn't use the spirit healer to rez me for 2500 xp.
I'm waiting to run across a gnome in a big floppy hat with a parrot on his shoulder saying "ARrrrrgh, Matey!"
If he dances, i might fall onto the floor in laughter.
Just for fun I think it would be cool to a pirate parrot as a pet, little eye patch, little bandana, the whole deal.
