the stupidest thing in my mind is having the nhl playoffs and having a majority of the games not being broadcast in HD.
on top of that, half the games of the first and second round werent broadcast at all, because only one channel has the rights. espn did a much better job, not only because they have more experiance and more exposure, but becuase they had 2 channels to utilize.
i dont care how much money spike offered, no hd, and limited airings should have been enough to nullify those contract negotiations before they started. espn would have taken them back if they'd have asked for less money. it will now take them much longer to recover from the lock out, if ever.
they made so many other positive changes this year, it's hard to believe they fucked up this bad to negate any positive momentum they could have achieved.
