Roger E. Mosley, 'Magnum, P.I.' star, dies at 83 after a car crash
T.C. was a great character. Of the bro trio in Magnum, P.I., he was the one who always had his shit together: Family man, successful small business with the helicopter, and usually the guy who was getting Magnum and Rick out of whatever messes they were in.
Superb actor, awesome person, sigh
gave himself a superb epitaph though :)

The big C kept coming for her until it finally won, alas, but we'll always have Grease and videos from the '80s. And her voice even made it into one of my favorite animated films:

Gorbachev.....
If he had just had the iron will to keep the Soviet Union together for as long as possible and drag out its decline for another decade or two, we might be living in a better world today.
But probably not.
At least he gave us a classic Leslie Nielsen moment:

RIP to the definitive voice of the Dark Knight, the one who played the character more often than any other actor did. I imagine he's largely known for the cartoons, but to me, he will always be Video Game Batman:

The Green Ranger
Many sad things in regard to this death
.
Likely suicide. He had a project separate of Saban that he had crowd funded that is currently in post. His wife left him, and Saban allegedly severed his long running contract because of his independent project. We will probably learn more as time goes on, but suicide, if that is the case, is always a terrible loss for everyone, hard than those natural causes that we all often wish for.

If there were a Mt. Rushmore of Global Sports Icons, Pele would be on it. I doubt there has ever been a more famous or more celebrated athlete in the world.
I was just thinking about that, and totally agree. Back when he was playing in New York even I, a kid from South Texas that was playing football (our football), knew who he was and how damn good he was at his sport (reading Sports Illustrated did help with that I admit).

He managed to be both the most recognizable and least recognizable member of CSN. Visually, he's always the one people remember from seeing the group, but when you listen to them singing together, his voice is the one that's the hardest to pick out between Graham Nash and Stephen Stills. Yet his singing in the middle range arguably was what made their harmonies work so well together.

Hell of a player, though, iconic even. And he gave us Brett Hull (not really a huge fan of him either, but like his dad, he could shoot and then some).

He was knowledgeable but sometimes annoying, and seemed to get more curmudgeonly as he aged. Which is only natural.
