Even better than Halloween last year, Nightwish returned to Seattle to rock the house again, but this time I hit the front row! I was in the perfect place, just a little off to the left of center so I could see everyone in the band clearly, and the mosh pit was behind me and to the right, so I didn't have to deal with crowd surfers trying to stomp my head in with their boots!

They did their normal set, most of the songs from Dark Passion Play, and a bunch of classics like Century Child, Nemo, and Bless the Child. Their set was a little shorter than last year, and ordered differently, but they still ended with their typical Wish I Had an Angel, which always gets you going!

I found one cool thing about being at the front rail: In spite of the body smash, it's very cool to be able to make eye contact with the band. Some time in the middle of their second song (which was, of course Whoever Brings the Night, I caught Anette's eye and winked at her. The funny part was the look that I got from Marcus who was standing almost directly in front of me, he gave me a look like, "Holy shit, that's bold!" Of course, she treated me with a nice pose at the end of the night directly before she walked off stage, so I'm going to say last night was just about awesome in every way possible.

Top it off, I moved last Saturday, and I was able to give my buddy who helped and his girlfriend tickets to go to the show with me. I talked to him earlier tonight and he said they had a great time, so even though they weren't on the front rail with me, I was glad to share that with him in return for his help moving.

Enough rambling, it's about time for bed, check the photo album out for some of the shots I took at the concert!
