    Someone once told me that you can speak things into existence. That is the vein in which I'm making this post.

    Things I am working on in my life right now, in no particular order:
    • Taking two college courses, basically a couple of sophomore-level classes
    • Working my full-time job
    • Doing a considerable amount of contracting work on the side
    • Helping manage my wife's salon
    • Raising my son
    • Nurturing and improving my relationship with my wife
    • Doing the various projects

    Anti-Party redefines "Re-Elect No One".

    It starts small, in a single town, and grows organically. Our credo: If you were "in" before, you are "out" now. Anti-Party has three simple goals.

    1) No soft money or corporate sponsorship of political campaigns, at the local, state or Federal level.

    2) Hard Two-Term limits on every elected office.

    3) Line Item Veto for both State Governors and Presidents.

    So I added my authenticator to my account(s) today.

    Logged in after 7 hours of redownloading WoW.

    Looks like a full restore, with a few things that may have been left by the previous dipshits, I mean hackers.

    Check my email this morning.

    There's a dozen or so from Blizzard regarding character or guild restoration.
    I give them a cursory peek.
    Paladin restored - gear, gold.
    Mage - restored. 75 gold, gear.
    DK - restored, 0 gold, ge..

    wait what?
    So I go through and try to read them a bit better.
    I can't tell just by reading the alphabetical list how boned I am (though admittedly I'm less boned, just by virtue of having the restoration) but it ...

  5. Been Hacked 012

    In a moment of spontaneous serendipitous memory, I remembered that I kept the laptop's box in the closet.
    So I dug it out, and in the midst of downloading drivers, found out that it actually has a hidden restore partition.

    WOOT!
    Less than 18 minutes later, Windows was up and running and waiting for me to go back through basic setup.

    Couldn't find the desktop stuff though. That can wait. For now.
